Mechanix Wear Teams Up with Netroots For The Troops

This year at Netroots Nation in Providence RI, over 100 volunteers filled the Exhibition Hall to assemble and fill 150 care packages for soldiers in the 841st Engineer Battalion serving in Afghanistan.  The boxes were filled with personal notes and letters, valuable necessities such as gel insoles, toothbrushes, socks, sand scarves, powdered energy drinks, LED flashlights, coffee, peanut butter, and other sundries in addition to Mechanix Wear gloves.  300 pairs of Mechanix Wear Utility Gloves made the journey into the hands of service members in war zones.  Over the past 4 years, NFTT volunteers have shipped 1,100 Care Packages to military personnel in three different Brigades of the 3rd Marine Division in cooperation with their Family Readiness Office, and to elements of the 101st Airborne.
